UnSpring Rolls with Hoisin Dipping Sauce


Egg Roll in a Bowl

Meat

1 lb: Ground turkey


Produce

5 cups: Cabbage

1 cup: Carrots

3 cloves: Garlic

1: Green onions

1 1/2 cups: Sweet onion


Canned Goods

1/4 cup: Chicken broth


Condiments

1/2 tsp: Ginger paste

2 tbsp: Soy sauce


Baking & Spices

1/4 tsp: Pepper

1/2 tsp: Salt

1: Sesame seeds, Toasted


Oils & Vinegars

2 tbsp: Olive oil

2 tsp: Rice wine vinegar

1 tsp: Sesame oil, toasted

The recipe didn't include instructions. I fried the meat (I subbed in hamburger meat) and onions together and turned down the temperature and added Everything else in. I didn't have ginger paste so used fresh that I grated with a carrot peeler. Would add more next time. I ask skipped the oil (had enough grease from the meat) and chicken broth. 

Served with Rice and drizzled Hoisin sauce below. Yummy way to use up cabbage.

Hoisin Dipping Sauce

  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 4 teaspoons lime juice - – freshly squeezed
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped peanuts - – for garnish
